Loan a Bike If you don't have a suitable bike of your own for one of our rides we can loan you one. We charge for the loan of the bike so that we can replace parts when necessary and ensure the service can be sustained, however we try to make this as affordable as possible. We have step through, road bikes and mountain bikes in a variety of sizes. If you want to loan a bike you must let us know your inside leg, the ride you want to go on and the style of bike you'd prefer. We loan bikes out at a first come first served basis and require a £5 deposit in advance (the balance can be paid on the day). You must collect the bike from Pedal MCR in Fallowfield one hour before the Sunday rides or 1/2 hour before the Wednesday evening rides, and return it afterwards. A volunteer will help you to fit the bike to your specifications. The bike must be returned in the same clean state it was lent, you will be able to clean it with products supplied at Pedal MCR and a volunteer can advise you if you're not sure how to do it. . We ask people to leave a deposit of a passport or to write a cheque for £50 which we shall return to you at the end of the ride. Donations above the listed amounts are welcome Paying the most that you can afford is how the project survives. Please make sure you include all income when working out how much you should pay eg. Tax Credits, Housing benefits etc. The payment system is operated on trust, and so the volunteers are not responsible for establishing how much each participant is able to pay.
